- negotiate your own pay and keep more of your hard earned money, efindcare only adds 8% to your chosen hourly rate and tips are also included with Careseekers payments
- have the safety and security of having a third party help handle payments for your Services
- be able to apply to several job opportunities in our platform , as long as you have the skill sets, experience, license & certification ( if applicable ) needed for the job
- with a Premium Subscription you can receive and respond to job invites FIRST which increases your chances of being hired
03. How much does the Service cost?
It is always FREE to register, create your profile, view job invites from careseekers via email & SMS and respond to it 24/7. *Upgrading to a Premium Subscription Plan allows you to receive job invites FIRST and allows you to respond to our careseeker FIRST in our messaging system, it also allows you to apply to more jobs in our platform, therefore increasing your chances of securing a job.

Our Premium Subscription Plan costs a low $17.99 which you can cancel at any time.
04. What are the benefits of using our platform’s messaging system?
- Creates a safe space for conversations between you and the Care seeker
- Have the option to use content’s of your messages to create your service contract with your Care seeker
- Maintain your privacy until you are ready to commit to a job or service

05. What are the benefits of getting paid via Care Pay (our payment portal) by the Care seekers in our platform?
When the Careseeker pays you through Care Pay you are assured of:

• Convenience , safety & security
• A low cost & simple payment solution
• Reduced risk by providing a trusted payment method
• The funds for payment of your Services are verified and held until your services are completed
• Reduced risk of fraud , because there is a third party that collects , hold & disburses funds until service is completed
• Increases trust between you and the Careseeker and potentially increasing your job opportunities
•Decreased likelihood of unexpected chargebacks
06. How does efindcare.com inform me that a careseeker has sent me a request or invite?
You will receive alerts via email and SMS messaging informing you that there’s a job invite from a careseeker, care providers with Premium Plans receive alerts FIRST. You may also receive a call from our staff if the careseeker stated need is urgent.
07. How many Senior Care Providers will receive the same invite from Care seekers?
Several other Care Providers could receive the same invite from Careseekers since Careseekers have the option to send their own invites to the Caregiver(s) they choose to connect with. We suggest that you respond to the Careseekers' posted jobs promptly or the soonest, you can also avail of our low Premium Senior Care Provider Plan which will increase your chances of securing the job.
08. Does efindcare.com allow tipping and does it take a “cut” from the tips?
Yes. Efindcare allows Care seekers to add tips to your final invoice set at 10%, 15% and 20%. And the Care seeker's tip is entirely yours, which you deserve for a job well done.
09. After I set my hourly rates and agree to perform the job can I change the final service cost to cover all my actual expenses?
Yes. You are required to send a final invoice to your Careseeker within 24 hours or as soon as the service is completed, that reflects the total cost of the service, we strongly advise that you communicate any changes to your rates and pricing in our messaging system right away or as soon as you determine the total amount to be paid, to avoid any confusion or problems with your payment and to create and maintain trust between you and the Careseeker.
10. Can I cancel my Premium Plan account and get a refund?
Yes. You may cancel your Premium Subscription Plan at any time. If you cancel after your subscription renewal date, you will not receive a refund for any amount that has been charged. Your cancellation will be effective at the end of your then-current subscription period and you may use the services until your cancellation is effective, unless your subscription is suspended or terminated as set forth under our terms of use.
11. Am I considered an employee of efindcare.com?
No. Efindcare.com only provides the platform for you to connect with a careseeker and find a job. Upon agreeing with and taking the job to provide the Service needed, the careseeker becomes your employer.
12. Does efindcare.com guarantee that I will be hired for a job?
No. Efindcare.com only provides the platform and the tools for you to connect with the Careseeker. It is all up to you to secure the job.
13. What is the importance of having liability Insurance while performing your job and duties as a Senior Care Caregiver?
It provides you--the Care Provider -- protection against covered claims arising from real or alleged errors or omissions including negligence in the course of your caregiving duties or while providing services e.g. if you injure your client (injury while transferring or due to a fall or slip with them in tow or even potentially cause the death of your client); or make medication errors that cause harm to the client or results to an adverse reaction from an unknown or known allergy. It also provides protection if ever you cause any property damage to the client’s home (fire, water-related damage, vandalism).This would also give the careseekers and their families greater confidence in hiring you for the job.

14. What are my do’s and don’ts as a registered user in the efindcare payment platform?
• Efindcare.com goes to great lengths to ensure your safety and privacy while using our payment platform, Care Pay, in order to keep your personal information secure.
• Do not accept payments for hours worked outside the platform.
• Don’t give Clients your contact information (phone number, email address, website or social media accounts) for the purpose of an off-platform payment.
• Do not improperly invoice your hours (more or less than you actually worked).
• Do not cancel a Service that has been completed.
• Do not take any action that circumvents Efindcare’s payments system.
• By engaging in any of the above actions you are also considered in violation of the platforms payment policy and your account may be put on HOLD or CANCELLED.
15. Can I register to provide more than one Service in the platform?
Yes. You are definitely welcome and encouraged to register for more than one service in order to help serve our Senior’s needs, as long as you have the necessary skill, training and or license / certificate to provide the Service(s).
16. Does efindcare.com have a cancellation policy for Careseekers / Clients?
Yes. We know that you value and respect your Clients time, though we all have unexpected things that can happen , we have to be fair to your other Clients as well. Efindcare has the following Careseeker cancellation policies:

• A 1 hour cancellation fee based on your hourly rate for cancellations made within 24 hours or less for the following Services - Personal care, Transportation Services, Respite Services, Companion Care, Rehab at home, Errands and Shopping Services, Senior Concierge/Geriatric Care Mgt Services, Mental Health & Psychological Services, House Cleaning Services, Beauty & Hair Salon Services, Pick up & Delivery Services and Pet sitting Services.
• A 2 hour cancellation fee based on your hourly rate for cancellations made within 24 hours or less for the following Services - Hoarding clean up, Moving Packing & Unpacking, Organizing and De cluttering, Gardening and Lawn Services.
• There is NO Cancellation fee for the following Referral Services - Medicare, Home and Auto Insurance, Final Expense Planning, Home Health Agency Referral, RCFE Board and Care, Nursing Home Facility, Retirement & long term care planning, Estate planning, POA, Employment contracts, Wills and Trusts referral.
17. Why does efindcare.com use service ranking scores?
efindcare.com uses service ranking scores to narrow the search and increase the likelihood of appropriately matching the careseeker and caregiver. It is calculated by metrics determined by efindcare.com to better serve its clients.
18. Can I get help with my tax preparation?
Yes. Our optional tax / payroll Services, Care Pay, ensures that you stay compliant and pay your taxes right while providing monitoring and keeping you abreast of tax laws and regulations. You can avail of this Service by going to your Account panel, click Care Pay box and simply send your request , our tax experts will contact you shortly.
19. How does our Referral Services differ from the rest of the Care Provider Services?
Referral Services are lead based, the Care Provider pays a low $15.99 fee EACH TIME they decide to connect with a Care seeker. We offer a free Concierge Service where we provide more info about the Care seekers needs in order to help Providers make a decision to connect.

Find the care you need in four easy steps:

1. Register for free. Choose the type of Service(s) you need & Create date, time & description of Service(s).
2. Finalize your Service summary, send job invite and view all available Senior Care Providers that can help you.
3. Purchase a Monthly Plan in order to contact Senior Care Providers in our messaging system.
4. Finalize service details & after Service is completed ,pay your Senior Care Provider via Care pay.

• You can register and create your profile for FREE and complete a brief online form that will be used to match you with the Senior Care Provider that are available.
• You will be informed via e-mail and SMS for available Care Providers that respond to your invite, view their profiles and communicate directly with your Senior Care Provider in our messaging system.
• All caregivers registered in our site are vetted and background checked.

All Senior Care Providers that are registered in our site have provided reference checks, they have been thoroughly vetted and background checked based on the following:

- Social Security Number (SSN) Trace
- Addresses, Names & DOB Verification
- National Database Criminal Record Search
- National Sex Offender Search

*Efindcare also conducts a strict and ongoing monitoring of Service Care Providers registered in our platform via Client feedback, ratings, comments and interactions, to ensure that they continue to provide their Services in accordance with our set standards and regulations.
08. What are the costs to be incurred for using efindcare.com?
It is always FREE to register, create your profile and send your job invite. In order to communicate with all Senior Care Providers in our platform's messaging system you simply have to purchase a low monthly fee of:

• $24.99 for General & Senior Care Services
• $11.99 for Household, Errand and Referral Services
• No fees to avail of Care Pay Tax & Payroll Services
• No added fees to pay your Care Provider using our safe and secure payment portal

No. efindcare.com does not employ the Senior Care Providers or recommend a Client/Careseeker and we are not responsible for any conduct of any Senior Care Provider or Careseeker. Efindcare.com only provides the platform and tools that bridge the gap between Senior Care Providers and Careseekers and enables them to find each other and connect and communicate online. Each individual is solely responsible for selecting a Senior Care Provider for themselves or their families and for complying with all the laws related to any employment relationship established.
11. Why do I become a household employer after hiring a Care Giver to provide personal care?
If you pay the Senior Care provider directly and have the right to direct when, how, where and how they get paid with the work they do, you are a household employer. A household employer is someone who hires a Care Provider / Caregiver to perform duties and provide services within their private home, and who pays a household employee more than $2,100 cash wages in a calendar year. You may consult with your accountant to oversee and manage your caregiver’s payroll and taxes or for your convenience, in order to clarify your responsibilities and to ensure that you are compliant with tax rules and avoid any serious consequences.
12. Why do I need to have Liability Insurance when I employ Senior Care Providers in my home?
The home care industry and Essential Services provided at home are known for its share of Liabilities, on the job injuries for Care Providers and Client’s injured during care or service provision, damage to people or property are risks involved that have to be considered and prepared for. Having the right Liability Insurance can help lessen the risk and avoid costly problems . Liability Insurance policies cover both legal costs and any payouts for which the insured party would be responsible if found legally liable. 13. Can I submit a job request AT NIGHT and still get a prompt response?
Yes. You can register and create your profile, and send your service request during night hours and our platform will find available care provider that closely matches your need.

*Please note that caregivers may not readily be able to answer your request at night time.
14. Can Medicare or Medi-Cal help pay for the personal caregivers services?
• For Medicare, the answer is NO . Medicare does not reimburse for any long term non medical care at home.
• The Medi-Cal funding for home care services is being administered through a government run organization called In Home Supportive Services (IHHS). They have specific requirements that prevents their clients from using it to pay for efindcare.com and traditional home care agencies. The IHHS program is administered by each county with oversight by the California Department of Social Services.

*For applications and eligibility info, please contact your local county welfare department adult services section. You can look for them in the county government section of your local telephone directory. You can also find resources at www.dds.ca.gov, the website of the California Department of Developmental Services.
**Most clients pay out of pocket when hiring private caregivers. That’s why using efindcare.com is a more viable way of cutting down the costs significantly and, at the same time, finding the right match for your care needs.
15. Are your personal caregivers registered under the state’s Home Care Aide Registry?
efindcare.com provides a platform that bridges the gap between caregivers and careseekers and enables them to find each other, and to connect and communicate with one another.

efindcare.com is not listed as a Home Care Organization. Care providers that register in our site may be registered home care aides or independent home care aides who are listed on the home care aide registry and may also be working for a Home Care Organization.

16. Can I submit a review or feedback about the Senior Care Providers performance?

17. How can careseekers report or file a concern to efindcare?
efindcare.com takes the integrity and accountability of our website and business process seriously. Your feedback helps us adhere to these values. Please contact us via the link provided in each client profile and directly communicate with our staff. Your message(s) will be answered, and kept private and confidential at all times.
18. What are my tax obligations as a household employer after hiring a personal caregiver at home?
• When you hire a caregiver, the IRS almost always takes the view that your in-home caregiver is your household employee which makes the careseeker, you, the employer.
• A caregiver who works in your home that you pay more than $2,100 per year means tax obligations to your family and you are responsible for paying taxes and filling IRS paperwork.
• As the employer, you have to pay social security and Medicare, withhold income tax and pay federal and state unemployment taxes including filing tax returns annually. You should write up an agreement that details the caregivers work schedule, hourly pay rate, overtime and holiday pay.

*All these requirements can be overwhelming. You may contact your accountant to oversee and manage your caregiver’s payroll and taxes, to ensure that you follow employment tax laws and are in compliance with tax rules and regulations.
19. Can I cancel my Service appointment with my Senior Care Provider?
Yes. Your appointment is very important to your Senior Care Provider and it is reserved especially for you. We realize that there are can be some unexpected things that can happen and can come up in our lives. We are truly sympathetic, but when you cancel without giving enough notice, this prevents another client from being seen by our Senior Care Providers. In fairness to all clients as well as to all Senior Care Providers in our platform, we have a cancellation policy in effect regardless of the reason for the cancellation.

• You will be subject to a 1 hour cancellation fee, based on your Care Providers hourly rate, for cancellations made within 24 hours or less for the ff. Services - Personal care, Transportation Services, Respite Services, Companion Care, Rehab at home, Errands and Shopping Services, Senior Concierge/Geriatric Care Mgt Services, Mental Health & Psychological Services, House Cleaning Services, Beauty & Hair Salon Services, Pick up & Delivery Services and Pet sitting Services and Alzheimer's / Dementia Care.
• You will be subject to a 2-hour cancellation fee, based on your Care Providers hourly rate, for cancellations made within 24 hours or less for the following Services -Hoarding clean up, Moving Packing & Unpacking, Organizing and De cluttering, Gardening and Lawn Services.
• There is NO Cancellation fee for the following Services - Medicare, Home and Auto Insurance, Final Expense Planning.Home Health Agency Referral. RCFE, Board and Care, Nursing Home Facility referral.
20. What is Care Pay tax & payroll services and what services are included?
It is an optional service in our platform that ensures you as the employer/careseeker & caregiver stay compliant, and pay your taxes right while providing monitoring and keeping you abreast of tax laws and regulations.

Services included are:

1. Compute total payroll amounts: gross pay, net pay, and payroll tax for caregivers.
2. Oversee money transfer process between caregiver and careseeker; confirm that all amounts are correct.
3. Transfer of payroll taxes (State & Federal) electronically by due date.
4. Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax returns including annual W-2, W-3, Form 940, quarterly DE-9 statements, DE-9c statements, and Form 941.
5. HR and customer service support: labor/employment law questions, recommendation of procedures for labor disputes.
6. Questions regarding the payroll process. Handle all IRS and EDD inquiries and audit.
7. FEIN & EDD registration requirements needed for being a household employer.
21. How does our Referral Services differ from the rest of our Care Provider services?
You can create and send invite to any of our "Referral" Care Providers, to connect with a Care Provider you would need to purchase a Plan & no other fees . You can also use Care Pay, our payment portal to pay your Care Provider for their fees.
