04. How does efindcare.com inform me that a careseeker has sent me a request?
You will receive alerts via e-mail and textmessaging, informing you that you have an invite from the careseeker. You may choose to opt-in or opt-out to receive alerts via text message. You may also receive a call from our staff if the careseeker’s stated need is urgent.
05. How many caregivers will receive the same invite from careseekers?
Several other Caregivers could receive the same invite from Careseekers since Careseekers have the option to send their own invites to the Caregiver(s) they choose to connect with. We suggest that you respond to the Careseekers’ posted jobs promptly or the soonest you can because doing so will increase your chances of securing the job.
06. Why does efindcare.com use service ranking scores?
efindcare.com uses service ranking scores to narrow the search and increase the likelihood of appropriately matching the careseeker and caregiver. It is calculated by metrics determined by efindcare.com to better serve its clients.
07. Can I cancel my account and get a refund?
Yes, you may cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel after your subscription renewal date, you will not receive a refund for any amount that has been charged. Your cancellation will be effective at the end of your then-current subscription period and you may use the services until your cancellation is effective..unless your subscription is suspended or terminated as set forth under our terms of use.
08. Am I considered an employee of efindcare.com?
No, efindcare.com only provides the platform for you to connect with a careseeker and find a job. Upon agreeing with and taking the job to provide the care needed, the careseeker becomes your employer.
09. Does efindcare.com guarantee that I will be hired for a job ?
No, efindcare.com only provides the platform and the tools for you to connect with the Careseeker. It is all up to you to secure the job.
10. Is there a time limit to answer an invite from a careseeker?
No . When you receive an e-mail invite, you have an option to accept it and connect with the careseeker. We urge you to respond as soon as possible to our e-mail to apply and secure the job. This will also improve your service ranking in our site. You can also apply for jobs in our Job Board. When our efindcare team sends you an invite for FINDBACKUPCARE jobs, it is usually urgent and you would need to respond as soon as possible. Our team will continue to send invites--as needed--in order to meet the careseeker's needs.
11. What are the benefits of having my taxes prepared through efindcare.com?
We want to take your worries away by helping you in tax preparation and planning. Why should you pay taxes? It is the law and non-payment and underpayment of taxes can result to civil and criminal penalties. Non-payment of taxes can also affect your financial standing e.g. financial institutions require copies of federal tax returns in transacting purchase of property, automobiles or real estate. 02. How does it work ?
- You can register and create your profile for FREE and complete a brief online form that will be used to match you with the caregiver who meets your requirements and fits your needs. You can post a job or send job invites and view caregivers response.
- Upgrading to a monthly, 3 month or 6 month Subscription Plan will enable you to respond and communicate with caregivers registered in our site and view their complete profile .
- Our built-in messaging system enables you to connect and communicate directly with the caregiver.
- You will be informed via e-mail and text message (you may opt in /out) when Caregivers respond.
*All caregivers registered in our site are vetted and background checked.
**There is a low referral fee for exchanging any personal identifiable information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail and social media accounts, whether verified or not, while using our built-in messaging system. Don't worry, a dedicated staff is asssigned to monitor our messaging system to ensure that you are billed correctly.
- Once you and the caregiver agree on terms, you can compose an "offer letter" or contract using the information exchanged in our messaging system, and share it with your caregiver .
03. Can I avail of the FINDBACKUPCARE service if am not using FINDCAREPAY?
Yes, you can sign up for our FINDBACKUPCARE service even if you don’t avail of our other optional services as long as you are registered and have a current subscription plan which is a requirement in order for you to exchange information through our built-in messaging system.
04. If I use FINDBACKUPCARE, can you guarantee a replacement caregiver?
First of all, you need to have a current Subscription Plan to avail of FINDBACKUPCARE. If you do, we require a minimum of 7 days notice of your replacement need. Regardless of the time frame, our staff will work hard to find caregivers registered in our site who meet your requirements and fit your needs and send them to you--for your approval. However, we cannot make such open-ended guarantees and you exclusively have the final decision on who you want to work for you.
05. How do you screen the caregivers in your site and what are included in their background checks?
All caregivers that are registered in our site have provided reference checks, undergone a knowledge analysis test and they have been thoroughly vetted and background checked based on the following :
- Social Security Number (SSN) Trace
- Addresses, Names & DOB Verification
- National Database Criminal Record Search
- National Sex Offender Search

Each individual is solely responsible for selecting a careseeker or caregiver for themselves or their families and for complying with all the laws related to any employment relationship established.
11. Why do I become a household employer after hiring my caregiver ?
If you pay the worker directly and have the right to direct the work they do, you are a household employer. A household employer is someone who hires a caregiver to perform duties and provide services within their private home, and who pays a household employee more than $2,100 cash wages in a calendar year.
12. What are the benefits of hiring a caregiver from efindcare.com?

13. Am I required to pay my household employee/caregiver overtime?
Daily overtime is required for live-out personal attendants if the employee works more than 9 hours in a day and/or 40 hours in a 7-day workweek. Overtime compensation is required for live-in personal attendants if the employee works more than 9 hours in a day and or 45 hours in a 7-day workweek.
14. What are my tax obligations as a household employer after hiring a caregiver?
-When you hire a caregiver, the IRS almost always takes the view that your in-home caregiver is your household employee which makes the careseeker, you, the employer.
-A caregiver who works in your home that you pay more than $2,100 per year means tax obligations to your family and you are responsible for paying taxes and filling IRS paperwork.
-As the employer, you have to pay social security and Medicare, withhold income tax and pay federal and state unemployment taxes including filing tax returns annually. You should write up an agreement that details the caregivers work schedule, hourly pay rate, overtime and holiday pay.

NO. If you don’t follow employment tax laws, you are subject to civil and criminal penalties. There is no limit on how many caregivers may be presented to you, However, this also depends on how your need and care requirements match with the caregivers' availability. You also have the option to post your job and allow ALL caregivers registered in our site to apply. Our knowledgeable staff will be available should you need help.
19. Can I submit a review or feedback about the caregiver’s performance?
Certainly. It is very important for us to receive your review or feedback about any caregiver registered in our site. This is an integral part of our business process. Within your personal panel, you will find a feedback form that you can submit to us at [email protected].
20. Can I submit a job request AT NIGHT and still get a prompt response?
Yes. You can register and create your profile, and send your request during night hours and our platform will find the caregiver that closely matches your need. *Please note that caregivers may not readily be able to answer your request at night time.
21. Can Medicare or Medi-Cal help pay for the caregivers services?
- For Medicare, the answer is NO . Medicare does not reimburse for any long term non medical care at home.
- The Medi-Cal funding for home care services is being administered through a government run organization called In Home Supportive Services (IHHS). They have specific requirements that prevents their clients from using it to pay for efindcare.com and traditional home care agencies. The IHHS program is administered by each county with oversight by the California Department of Social Services.

23. Are your caregivers registered under the state’s Home Care Aide Registry?

efindcare.com is not listed as a Home Care Organization. Caregivers that register in our site may be registered home care aides or independent home care aides who are listed on the home care aide registry and may also be working for a Home Care Organization.
